A la demande de la SHF, La Communauté d’agglomération de Vichy Val d’Allier a entrepris un programme de rénovation du terrain afin de mieux répondre aux exigences du saut d’obstacles de haut niveau. Les travaux ont débuté à l’automne 2009 et devraient s’achever à l’été 2010.

Cette situation nous amène à devoir annuler exceptionnellement le plus ancien des concours hippiques internationaux français, pour la première fois depuis sa création, hormis les périodes de conflit.

Nous vous invitons tous en 2011 à venir à la 123ème édition du concours de Vichy, sur un nouveau terrain en herbe qui associera les meilleures techniques actuelles, pour perpétuer la tradition de qualité du stade équestre du Sichon.

At the request of the organisers of the Vichy International Show Jumping Competition,the Agglomeration Community of Vichy Val d'Allier is carrying out a renovation programme of the venue's ground, in order to better satisfy the requirements of high level show jumping. The work began in autumn 2009 and should be finished in summer 2009. 

This situation has led us to cancel the oldest French international show jumping competition for the first time since it was created, apart from during wartime.

We invite you all to come to the 123rd edition of the Vichy competition in 2011, which will be held on a new grass ground that will bring together the best in current technology, to continue the Sichon Equestrian Stadium's tradition of quality.
